Bio

Zimeng Peng‘s STEPS-related research involves improving the P footprint utilizing LCA. She earned her B.S. in Food Science and M.S. in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering from Iowa State University. Her master’s research focused on nutrient (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) leaching from slow-release fertilizers and their effects on corn. Zimeng is currently a Ph.D. student in Food Science at North Carolina State University, where her research focuses on the sustainability of food systems and food waste.
