Jo Stanley is a chemistry PhD student at North Carolina State University. She is currently working in Dr. Gorman’s group on the synthesis of acrylamide monomers and polymers for phosphate recovery and removal. Prior to coming to NC State, she received her Bachelor’s in biochemistry at Kenyon College and spent 5 years working in the research and development department of a polymer biotechnology company.
