Bio

Dr. Alexey Gulyuk collaborates with Yara Yingling in addition to his position as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at North Carolina State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science from NC State University in 2020, M.S. in Physics from NC Central University in 2016, and B.S. in Engineering Physics from Belarusian State University in 2014. Previous research was focused on characterization of inorganic materials for the development of new bioelectronic modalities via interfaces of inorganic substrates with microorganisms. Current research interests include implementing Materials Informatics approaches in materials design and characterization workflow, as well as accessing the behavior and properties of soft materials using Molecular Dynamics simulations.
