Report Concerns
The Center takes concerns related to ethics, inclusion, discrimination, and safety very seriously. You can review the Center’s Discrimination and Harassment policy here. If you see or suspect unethical, unsafe, discriminatory, or other concerning behaviors, report them immediately. We encourage you to talk to STEPS leadership directly. You can also leave an anonymous message here. This message will be directed to the STEPS Business Officer, Brenda Gainey, a trained HR professional. She will share all reported concerns with the STEPS Ethics Oversight Panel, comprised of John Classen (NC State), Jim Elser (Arizona State), Brooke Mayer (Marquette), and Sherine Obare (NC A&T/UNCG) or a subset of the panel to avoid potential conflicts of interest. The pael will convene on an as-needed basis to advise STEPS on any reported concerns, including their handling by STEPS leadership.
