Tingyu Li
Bio
Tingyu Li is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar working with Dr. Westerhoff at Arizona State University. Her STEPS research explores analytical methods both for inorganic and organic phosphorus species. Moreover, she will operate an automated robotic system capable of performing high throughput adsorption experiments of various phosphorus species using solids, polymers, or macromolecular adsorbents in water plus a mixture of solutes (common anions/cations, NOM, acids, bases, etc.). In 2021, she earned her PhD in Ecology from Jinan University, China. From 2021 to 2023, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She was also a visiting scholar in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of California, Riverside (UC Riverside) from 2019 through 2020. She has experience in the identification of novel environmental pollutants by advanced analytical methodologies, including nontarget screening analysis on the basis of high-resolution mass spectrum and quantitative structure-property relationship predictions.
