Bio
Sherine Obare is the Co-Director for the Broadening Participation team. Her specialty is in nanoscience. Her research focuses on designing nanoscale materials for drug delivery, healthcare, alternative energy, and environmental remediation. Obare develops strategies to improve STEM education. She is a research fellow at the American Public and Land-Grant University Council on Research. She earned her Ph.D. in inorganic/analytical chemistry from the University of South Carolina. She earned a B.S. in chemistry with a minor in biology from West Virginia State University.
