Nahed Abu Zaid is a Ph.D. student in the College of Computer Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Information Systems from Yarmouk University – Jordan. Before Nahed joined NCSU, she was working at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia and held many positions at the university. She has worked as a consultant at the Vice Rectorate for Educational and Academic Affairs and as an assistant to the COO at Applied College. Nahed also worked as a lecturer in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Nahed participated in building and supervising many diverse projects in the fields of health, cybersecurity, and data science. She was also a member of the Higher Supervisory Committee for scientific conferences and forums at the university.  Her research interests involve Knowledge Graphs and Data science. Nahed works under the supervision of Professor Rada Chirkova within STEPS.
