Bio
Meagan Kittle Autry is an Associate Teaching Professor and Director of Graduate Professional Development in Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at NC State University. She teaches courses in research & science communication and professional engineering communication in the College of Engineering. She’s known as a welcoming, enthusiastic instructor committed to seeing graduate students succeed in research careers. In STEPS, Meagan is the Director of Science Communication, where she leads efforts to increase the visibility of the Center’s work and improve student outcomes through training and professional development.
Meagan holds a PhD in Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media from NC State, a Master’s in Rhetoric and Composition from NC State, and a BA in English from Catawba College. Prior to her faculty appointment, Meagan founded NC State’s graduate academic writing and speaking programming in the Graduate School.
