Bio

Jay Rickabaugh is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration at North Carolina State University’s School of Public and International Affairs. He researches local government collaboration and improved approaches to wicked problems. Within STEPS, he currently works with a team investigating Soil and Water Conservation Districts in the United States. He has previously contributed to projects involving regional watershed organizations and undergraduate teaching of transdisciplinary research. His STEPS-related research has appeared in Sustainability, Journal of Public Affairs Education, Humanities and Social Science Communications, and Journal of Sustainability Education. Prior to joining NC State, he was a faculty member affiliated with STEPS at Appalachian State.
