Daniel Palacios
Bio
Daniel Palacios is a master scholar in the Agricultural and Biological Engineering department (ABE) at the University of Florida (UF) – Indian River Research and Education Center (IRREC) in Fort Pierce, Florida. His research explores the implementation of agricultural best management practices (BMPs) for phosphorus management around the aquatic ecosystem TBL site. He works with Dr. Sandra Guzmán in the Smart Irrigation and Hydrology (SIAH) Lab testing solutions that contribute to the management of phosphorus in water systems. He is an Agricultural Engineer from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Colombia.
Daniel’s research experience involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of in-field sensors for water management in agriculture and time series analysis for irrigation management. His industry experience involves irrigation and drainage systems design and implementation.
