Aaron Batty
Bio
Aaron Batty is a senior undergraduate student at Appalachian State University, majoring in Sustainable Development with a concentration in Agroecology. As a member of STEPS, he is working with Dr. Kim Bourne using a novel approach called Knowledge Mapping to make connections among projects and understand how they collectively address phosphorus sustainability in the High Country. Aaron feels that empowerment and successes at the local level are the stepping stones to larger-scale change. For this reason, he is very excited to play a role in supporting STEPS ‘25-in-25’ vision through Knowledge Mapping various research endeavors on phosphorus sustainability in the High Country.
