As Managing Director of the Research Institute for Environment, Energy and Economics (RIEEE) at Appalachian State, Grace Plummer oversees institute operations and program delivery. She directs the implementation of the institute’s vision, represents the institute and centers on various University committees and councils, cultivates partnerships and external collaboration, and liaises with the Office of Research and Innovation on strategic research efforts. RIEEE anchors the STEPS@AppState effort, which seeks to operationalize convergence across the teaching at research enterprises of a regional comprehensive, primarily undergraduate institution (PUI) through collaborative research and curricular innovations. Grace earned a BS in International Business at the College of Charleston and MA in Human Geography at Appalachian State University.
