Olga Borquez is the Program Manager for the Sustainable Phosphorus Alliance. She worked for 4 years as a Sustainability Manager at Wholesum, one of North America’s fastest-growing providers of organic vegetables with production in the US and in Mexico. She focused her efforts on data analysis for efficient use of resources, CSR reporting, grant development, environmental planning, and community impact work. Ms. Borquez also spearheaded several organizational initiatives such as the alignment of the company to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, strategically targeting efforts on gender equality, clean water and sanitation, responsible consumption and production, and climate action.
Olga grew up in Mexico, where her family grows table grapes and asparagus, she then studied sustainability and business at Arizona State University, graduating magna cum laude and named valedictorian speaker. She has interned in government, private, and non-profit entities. Giving her a well-rounded view of the system to develop sustainable strategies.Olga Borquez
