Matthew Grogan is a graduate student at Appalachian State University pursuing a Master of Arts in Political Science, concentrating in American Government. Matthew received his undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University in 2022 in Political Science and Public Administration, with a minor in Community and Regional Planning. Matthew hopes to pursue a PhD in political science, public policy, or a similar field after he completes his master’s degree. In the STEPS program, Matthew is working with Dr. Jay Rickabaugh to research, identify, and map the regulatory boundaries of both state and local governments and agencies as they pertain to phosphorus governance.
