Alexey Gulyuk is currently a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Yingling’s group in Materials Science and Engineering department at North Carolina State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science from NC State University in 2020, M.S. in Physics from NC Central University in 2016, and B.S. in Engineering Physics from Belarusian State University in 2014. Previous research was focused on characterization of inorganic materials for the development of new bioelectronic modalities via interfaces of inorganic substrates with microorganisms. Current research interests include implementing Materials Informatics approaches in materials design and characterization workflow, as well as accessing behavior and properties of soft materials using Molecular Dynamics simulations.
